Pruning

What is Pruning?

- It is the practise of selectively removing parts of a plant, such as branches, buds or roots.

Here is what we offer when Pruning:

- Removing dead or diseased branches

- Removing crossing branches

- Thinning the canopy

- Removing suckers

- Removing watersprouts

- Prune regularly

- Uses sharps tools

- We don't over-prune (Removing more than 30% of the plant)

The best time to prune:

- Deciduous trees and shrubs (Prune in November – March by removing older, less productive stems)

- Climbers and wall shrubs (Prune annually after flowering for plants that flower on the previous year's growth, or in late winter or early spring for plants that flower on the current year's growth)
